Principal and Vice-Principal Appointments

The Quesnel School District is pleased to announce the following appointments effective August 1, 2023.

Principal – Dragon Lake Elementary

Ms. Anne Mummery has been appointed as principal of Dragon Lake Elementary. Ms. Mummery has been the vice-principal of Voyageur Elementary since September 2022 and prior to that was employed as an elementary resource teacher with the school district since September 2021, and as a teacher in the Chilliwack School District since 2002.

Ms. Mummery holds a Bachelor of Education degree and is currently enrolled in the Master of Educational Leadership Program through Memorial University.

Ms. Mummery will be replacing Ms. Jan Bauer who has been appointed as principal of Voyageur Elementary.

Principal – Parkland Elementary

Ms. Sue Saip has been appointed as principal of Parkland Elementary. Ms. Saip has worked for the school district since 2014 in a variety of roles and most recently as a district itinerant elementary school counselor since 2020.

Ms. Saip holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.

Ms. Saip will be replacing Ms. Janene Sellers who has been appointed as principal of Kersley Elementary.

Vice-Principal – Voyageur Elementary

Ms. Sonia Pannu-Baidwan has been appointed as vice-principal of Voyageur Elementary. Ms. Pannu-Baidwan has worked as a classroom teacher for the school district since 2013.

M. Pannu-Baidwan holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Trauma and Resilience in an Educational Setting

Ms. Pannu-Baidwan will be replacing Ms. Anne Mummery who has been appointed as principal of Dragon Lake Elementary.
